The
Collection
The aim of the Yad Vashem Library is to be a repository for all published material about the Holocaust and related subjects. As the largest such collection in the world, the library's holdings include
some 100,000 books and article off-prints by title, as well as nearly 4,000 newspapers and journals by title. The collection contains material in all languages, although the largest divisions are German, English, and Hebrew, followed by French, Polish, Yiddish and Russian. The main catalogue, containing books and article off prints is computerized. Material in our catalogue may be accessed by Author, Title, Subject Headings, or Key-Word searches.

The library is open to the public Sunday-Thursday. Sunday, Thursday: 8:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. (
