Christians Friends of Yad Vashem

Christian Friends of Yad Vashem was established in October 2006 following an agreement between Yad Vashem and the International Christian Embassy (ICEJ) to start a new form of cooperation. Located at the International Relations Division in Jerusalem, CFYV is responsible for contacts among Christians around the world. Cooperation with various Christian organizations and churches in order to raise awareness about the Holocaust is one of the goals of this Desk.

Since the beginning of 2007, it is possible to become a Christian Friend of Yad Vashem by registering for a membership with the Christian Friends. Christian Friends can help with information, planning a visit or for instance in bringing groups for educational seminars at Yad Vashem. Christian Friends Desk can also facilitate educational activities in your communities wherever they are.

Yad Vashem remains the one institution in Israel that everyone supports, as Israelis across spectrum understand the value of its work. It is a non-political site of reflection designed to bring out the humanity in each of us by showing us the worst excesses of inhumanity. The mission of keeping the memory alive, combined with the important educational goals of Yad Vashem, is such that whatever your denomination there is a suitable project for cooperation.
