The Israel Society for Yad Vashem

The Israel Society for Yad Vashem was established by the Yad Vashem Directorate in 1999. The Society’s goals are to raise donations for Yad Vashem and to widen its sphere of supporters in order to advance projects and ventures in Israel.

Recent Activities

On Thursday, May 22nd 2008, the Israel Society for Yad Vashem held an event for Yad Vashem’s supporters and friends in Israel, marking the opening of the exhibition: “My Homeland - Holocaust Survivors in Israel”. Dozens of Yad Vashem’s friends, many of whom are Holocaust survivors, took part in the event, which included guided tours of the exhibition, the synagogue and the art museum.

On Monday, May 12th 2008, Yad Vashem held a ceremony unveiling the memorial stone of the martyrs of the Kolomyja community. Members of the organization - holocaust survivors and their descendants, attended the ceremony.
