Recent Visits to Yad Vashem

toured the Yad Vashem Campus together with Eli Zborowski, Chairman

campus and museum.

Roizman,
the son and daughter in-law of Israel Roizman visited Yad Vashem
and toured the Museum and participated in a special presentation at the
Archive Department.

25th.
The Haber’s visited Yad Vashem to mark the Bar Mitzvah of their son,
Justin.
Edith Katz, a Holocaust survivor and her son Dr. Avi Katz
visited Yad Vashem, on April 1st together with a Mormon Delegation. During
their visit, Shaya Ben Yehuda, Managing Director of the International
Relations Division led a special ceremony in Yad Vashem’s synagogue.

visited the Yad Vashem
campus and toured the Holocaust History Museum.

from New York marked their son Jordan’s Bar Mitzvah at Yad Vashem.

family celebrated a family Bat Mitzvah at Yad Vashem and toured the
Museum.
New Benefactors Paul and Vera Guerin
unveil the “Bridge to Life” dedicated in memory of Vera’s parents Nathan
and Lilly Shapell z”l. The Guerin’s donation will support educational
programs and IDF soldier visits at Yad Vashem.

Lenny and Beth Wilf, Benefactors of the Entrance Plaza and the children of
Holocaust History Museum’s major donors Harry Wilf z”l and Judith Wilf z”l,
visited Yad Vashem on a tour specially designed to explain the Holocaust
to their children.

Tom Spiegel (L), son of Benefactors Abe z”l and Edita z”l Spiegel, visited
Yad Vashem with Marilyn Winn, where they were met by Chairman Avner Shalev.
Yad Vashem friend Sid Ferenc visited Yad Vashem this spring and met with
Director of the International Relations Shaya Ben Yehuda. They viewed the
International School for Holocaust Studies, where groundbreaking on the
new International Seminars Wing will begin this summer.
Fred Lafer, Executive Director of the Marilyn and Henry Taub Foundation,
visited Yad Vashem and met with Senior Artifacts Curator Chaviva
Peled-Carmeli.
Yad Vashem Builder Jeffrey Katzenberg visited Yad Vashem with his family
for a special tour of the museum and campus.
Fred and Velva Levine of Houston (l) visited Yad Vashem for a special tour
of the campus together with Shaya Ben Yehuda (2nd from r) and longtime Yad
Vashem friend Benjamin Warren. Among several venues, they visited the
exhibition My Homeland: Holocaust Survivors and the State of Israel.
New friend Ygal Sonenshine led a delegation of the Young Presidents
Organization to Yad Vashem. After touring the museum, the participants
viewed a film telling the story of the Sonenshine family – the fate of
those who left Parczew before the war to build a life in Palestine and the
fate of those who remained behind.

Three generations of the Mills family of Chicago visited Yad Vashem for
the Bar Mitzvah of Tommy Mills. Here they are in the Synagogue where Tommy

During President George W. Bush’s visit to Yad Vashem in January,
the American and Israeli official delegations met with Chairman of the
American Society for Yad Vashem, Eli Zborowski (2nd from left.)

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld and DreamWork’s CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg
visited the Yad Vashem campus and toured the Holocaust History Museum.

Yad Vashem welcomed 3 generations of the Mitzner family, Benefactors from
Houston. David Mitzner, Ira Mitzner, and Laura Mitzner toured the
exhibition “Spots of Light: To Be a Woman in the Holocaust.”
On October 17th, Yad Vashem held a ceremony dedicating the “Bearing
Witness” Garden, endowed through the generous gift of Lucian and Susan
Seifert (pictured) in memory of the Seifert family members who
perished in the Holocaust. Among those addressing the ceremony were Yad
Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev and former IDF Chief of Staff General
(res.) Moshe “Bugi” Ya’alon. The Seiferts are recent Benefactors of
Yad Vashem
