Article in the Gazeta Zydowska ("Jewish Gazette"), a Jewish newspaper that was put out with the approval of the German authorities in the General-Government. 23 July 1941.

At the order of the town’s commissar, Jews who owned apartments and businesses in the area of the market were obliged to leave their properties and move to another neighborhood of the town.

The soup kitchen – due to a lack of provisions, a meeting of the Jewish committee decided that from then on lunch would comprise of one course only: soup. This would cost one zloty.
