Walther Funk, one of the trail defendants – Nuremberg, Germany, 1945/6

 

Walther Funk, was the President of the “Reichsbank” from 1939 and Minster of Finance for the Third Reich. He was responsible for the confiscation of property of the murdered and deported Jews. In his past, he also served as Director of the Ministry of Propaganda, under Josef Göbels. Funk was convicted of war crimes, crimes against peace and humanity, and sentenced to life imprisonment.
